The FTC MINI-CYLINDRE HR 2.1 Lowering Device is a compact, high-capacity friction device designed for precise and controlled rigging during tree care operations. Developed for professional arborists, it supports efficient lowering and holding of branches or timber while maintaining predictable rope control. Supplied ready to use with its strap and transport box, the Mini-Cylindre HR 2.1 integrates easily into established rigging workflows.

Precision rigging with enhanced rope management

The device features a round upper ring that allows rope reeving, while two fairleads at the end of the cylinder keep rope wraps correctly aligned and prevent overlap. A third fairlead positioned beneath the cylinder enables finer, more precise control during rigging, supporting smooth handling when managing variable loads. The system is approved for ropes up to 16 mm in diameter, making it suitable for common arborist rigging lines.

Aluminium construction with stable, symmetrical design

Manufactured entirely from aluminium, the Mini-Cylindre HR 2.1 is designed not to heat up during use, helping protect rigging ropes from heat damage. Six rubber silent blocks protect the tree and help keep the device stable when loaded. Its symmetrical layout allows the ground crew to work comfortably from either the left or right side, supporting flexible site positioning and efficient communication during operations.

Strength ratings, dimensions, and supplied components

The Mini-Cylindre HR 2.1 has a stated distortion strength of 50 kN and a working load limit of 10 kN, providing a strong performance margin for professional rigging. The plate measures 340 mm in height including the half ring, 120 mm in width, and 20 mm in thickness, with a cylinder diameter of 100 mm. The device weighs 3.6 kg on its own and 7.2 kg when supplied with the 9 m strap and transport box. The strap is suitable for trees up to 2 m in diameter, and the box measures 30 cm by 40 cm with a height of 23.5 cm. The device complies with Machinery Directive 2006/42/CE.
