About Treeworker

Treeworker Equipment Ltd exists to keep tree work safer, smarter and more enjoyable; providing arborists with equipment and knowledge they can trust their lives to.

Founded by Robert “Noddy” Knott, Treeworker was built by climbers, for climbers. It quickly became known not just as a supplier of quality kit, but as a trusted source of practical advice and real-world experience.

Today, Treeworker continues under refreshed leadership, with new owner Sean Thompson leading the business, supported by a team bringing over 130 years of combined arboricultural experience, with Noddy still involved. The mission remains the same: support the craft with proven equipment, honest guidance and a genuine understanding of the job.

We’re here to support working arborists with dependable equipment, clear advice and practical experience.

The Team

Our team combines commercial climbing and advanced rigging experience with specialist knowledge in rope systems, professional splicing and LOLER inspection. We’re involved in product development and technical training, and work closely with manufacturers to ensure the equipment we supply performs where it matters most - in the tree. We don’t just sell gear. We use it, test it and stand behind it.
