Compact friction system for controlled lowering

The Micro-Cylindre 2.1 functions as a rope friction device used to manage loads during dismantling work. Its design supports smooth holding and lowering of cut material while maintaining predictable rope behaviour. With a maximum approved rope diameter of 14 mm, it suits common rigging ropes used in tree care. The round ring at the top allows for reeving, and two fairleads at the end of the cylinder keep rope wraps correctly positioned and prevent overlapping during operation.

Lightweight aluminium construction with balanced handling

Manufactured entirely from aluminium, the Micro-Cylindre 2.1 is designed not to heat up excessively during use, helping protect rigging ropes from heat damage. Rubber bumpers help keep the device stable when mounted on the tree. The symmetrical layout allows the ground worker to operate comfortably from either the left or right side, supporting flexible site positioning. With a device weight of 1.7 kg, it offers a favourable balance between portability and strength.

Strength ratings and supplied components

The Micro-Cylindre 2.1 has a minimum breaking strength of 40 kN and a stated working load limit of 8 kN, delivering a strong performance margin for its size. The plate measures 225 mm in height, up to 165 mm in width, and 15 mm in thickness, with a cylinder diameter of 75 mm. It is supplied with 9 m straps suitable for trees up to 2 m in diameter, and a transport box measuring 30 cm by 40 cm with a height of 19.5 cm. Total weight including strap and box is 4.9 kg. The device complies with Machinery Directive 2006/42/CE.
