The ABUS Scator Ventilated Safety Helmet Combo combines a ventilated industrial safety helmet, 31dB SNR ear defenders and a full face metal mesh visor in one professional protective equipment package. Designed for ground-based forestry, landscaping, tree maintenance and industrial work, this combination provides head, hearing and face protection with adjustable components for comfort and a secure fit.

ABUS Scator Ventilated Safety Helmet

The ABUS Scator helmet features a robust ABS outer shell designed to provide protection against falling objects and unexpected impacts. Its deep neck area offers additional coverage, while the short peak helps maintain a wide field of vision during ground-based operations.

Ventilation openings at the sides and rear promote airflow around the head, helping dissipate heat during physically demanding work. The EasyFlex 360° adjustment system includes a rear rotary wheel for fine adjustment and a multi-stage height adjustment system to accommodate different head shapes.

A 6-point PowerTriangle textile suspension helps distribute pressure and impact loads around the head. The removable forehead padding provides additional comfort and can be washed or replaced when required.

ABUS 31SNR Helmet Mounted Ear Defenders

The included ABUS Spector/Scator ear defenders provide an SNR noise reduction rating of 31dB, making them suitable for noisy forestry, landscaping, construction and industrial environments. Certified to DIN EN 352-3, they offer high-frequency attenuation of 35dB, medium-frequency attenuation of 29dB and low-frequency attenuation of 22dB.

The ear defenders attach directly to the helmet's 30mm Euroslot mounting system. Stepless length adjustment and 360° rotating positioning allow them to be adjusted to the wearer, while soft, wide memory foam padding helps maintain comfort during extended periods of use.

The ear defenders are certified for use with compatible ABUS helmets in medium and large sizes. They are not certified in combination with small helmet sizes.

ABUS Scator Full Face Mesh Visor

The included ABUS Scator Full Face Mesh Visor provides extensive eye and face coverage against mechanical hazards and flying debris encountered during forestry, wood processing, vegetation clearance and landscaping work.

Manufactured from rustproof metal mesh with a reinforced frame, the visor is designed to protect against hazards including pointed objects, impacts and flying foreign bodies such as splinters. Its fine mesh openings promote airflow around the face, helping maintain ventilation during physically demanding outdoor work.

The wide-angle design provides a broad field of vision and can be worn over prescription glasses. Individual height adjustment allows the visor to be positioned comfortably while maintaining freedom of movement.

The visor conforms to CE ISO 16321-3:2021 and is supplied with the required mounting adapters. Its push-button attachment system allows straightforward installation and replacement.

Integrated Protection for Ground-Based Work

The ABUS Scator helmet features a modular accessory system with a 30mm Euroslot for hearing protection and a separate mounting slot for compatible visors. This allows the included ear defenders and full face mesh visor to be fitted together without interfering with their individual adjustment.

The combination is particularly suitable for forestry ground crews, tree maintenance professionals, landscapers and other users who require head, hearing and face protection when working around machinery, vegetation and flying debris.

The Scator is designed as a ground-based safety helmet. It should not be treated as a substitute for a climbing helmet where specialist work-at-height protection is required.
