Intended as a basic yet highly effective piece of equipment, it is well suited to professional climbing, rescue, and rope access environments where minimal bulk and dependable function are essential. Compact emergency rope clamp for ascent and hauling The Tibloc is designed to be used with a locking carabiner to allow rope ascent or to create progress capture systems for hauling. Its very small size and low weight make it easy to carry as part of an emergency kit without adding unnecessary bulk. This makes it particularly valuable as a contingency device that can be deployed quickly when required. Secure gripping action with reduced rope damage risk The design of the Tibloc presses the carabiner against the rope, helping ensure the clamp grips the rope immediately and completely in any position. This interaction supports consistent engagement and helps reduce the risk of partial tooth contact on the rope sheath. The cam features teeth combined with a self-cleaning slot, optimising grip and reliability even when ropes are muddy, wet, or icy. Durable stainless steel construction Manufactured from stainless steel, the Tibloc is built for durability and resistance to wear in demanding environments. It is compatible with ropes measuring between 8 and 11 mm in diameter, supporting use across a range of professional rope systems. Certified to EN 567 standards, it is suitable for use within regulated professional applications where compliance and reliability are required.
