Rescue-focused design with controlled descent

The I'D L features an ergonomic handle that enables smooth and progressive control of descent, even when managing heavy loads. An integrated anti-panic function automatically stops the descent if the handle is pulled too hard, helping prevent uncontrolled movement. An anti-error catch further reduces the risk of incorrect rope installation, supporting safer operation during high-pressure rescue scenarios. Two descent modes are available, either on the side plate or through the V-shaped friction channel, allowing control to be adapted to load and conditions.

AUTO-LOCK positioning and versatile operation

The AUTO-LOCK system allows users to position themselves without tying off the device or maintaining handle input. As soon as the handle is released, the rope is automatically locked in place. Once locked, rope can be taken up without manipulating the handle, supporting reversible haul systems or short ascents. The cam can also be used to feed slack or belay using appropriate techniques, adding versatility within rescue systems.

High load capacity and durable construction

A stainless steel wear plate reinforces the rope friction zone, improving durability during repeated descents under load. The safety gate on the moving side plate allows rope installation while the device remains connected to the harness, helping with the passage of intermediate anchors. The side plate can be locked with a screw for integration into rescue kits. The I'D L is compatible with 12.5 to 13 mm ropes and is rated for loads up to 150 kg for one person and up to 280 kg for rescue use. It weighs 600 g and is certified to EN 341 type 2 class A, EN 12841 type C, ANSI Z359.4, NFPA 1983 General Use, and EAC standards when used in approved configurations.
