Featuring male and female ferrules, the mid-pole connects to compatible pole sections while allowing additional extensions or pruning attachments to be fitted above, providing a straightforward way to increase the working reach of the system. Designed to extend the Marvin pole system The extension pole features a male ferrule at one end for connection to a compatible base or extension pole, together with a female ferrule at the opposite end for attaching another pole section or compatible pruning attachment. This configuration allows multiple sections to be connected when additional reach is required for pruning and other tree care applications. Strong fibreglass construction The hollow fibreglass pole combines lightweight handling with rigidity and durability. It has an outside diameter of 32 mm and a wall thickness of 6 mm, while a protective surface veil helps prevent fibre blooming at the surface caused by abrasion. The connecting ferrules are manufactured from aircraft-grade aluminium for a strong and reliable connection between sections. Tested performance The pole is batch tested to 100 kV per foot for five minutes. Its specified flexural strength is ≥ 380 kgf when tested to ASTM D7264, with a compression strength of ≥ 250 kgf and a Barcol hardness of ≥ 45B when tested to ASTM D2583. This 4' mid-pole provides additional reach while retaining the lightweight and splinter-resistant construction of the Marvin fibreglass pole system.
