The HAAS Velox Knee Ascender is a refined evolution of the original HAAS ascent system, designed to deliver smoother, more efficient climbing with minimal setup. Built around a patented design, the Velox increases bungee travel within the system, supporting fluid movement and consistent return during ascent. Its focus on simplicity and adaptability makes it well suited to professional arborists and rope access users working across varied climbing setups.

Zero-setup system with extended bungee travel

The Velox features a zero-setup design that allows immediate use without adjustment, making it suitable for shared equipment and multi-user environments. A double tube system contains a total of 30 inches of in-line bungee, providing over 30 inches of elongation during movement. The snap is positioned just above the ascender and extracts smoothly, eliminating dead spots in the return action and maintaining consistent tension through each step.

Engineered for smooth, low-friction ascent

To maximise efficiency, the bungee terminates at the top of the Velox and travels down an internal channel to the base of the unit. It then wraps around a shiv fitted with stainless steel sealed bearings housed within a machined aluminium block. From there, the bungee returns up a second channel before tying off at the snap. This layout reduces friction and resistance, supporting a smooth energy return and controlled ascent.

The HAAS Velox Knee Ascender is designed to integrate easily into both single rope and double rope systems and can be used with or without a rope wrench. Its durable construction supports long-term professional use, while the internal bungee can be replaced in under five minutes without tools.
