The FTC NATE Chest Harness is designed for arborists who spend long hours ascending and require comfort, efficiency, and reduced physical strain. Developed as part of the NATE range, it focuses on optimising body support and movement while remaining lightweight and robust. Its design aims to improve daily climbing performance without compromising flexibility or durability.

Ergonomic Support and Load Distribution

The harness features a unique X-shaped design that helps distribute effort evenly across the upper body. This structure reduces strain on the shoulders and back during long ascents, supporting a more upright and efficient climbing posture. Integrated compact foam provides optimal back support while remaining flexible and light, contributing to sustained comfort throughout the working day.

Construction, Materials, and Design Innovation

An innovative weaving technique is used to create the chest strap loops without seams, resulting in reduced weight and increased resistance. The harness is constructed from Cordura-type textile combined with PE foam, polyester straps, nylon buckles, and HMPE connection loops. This material combination supports durability, flexibility, and reliable performance in professional arborist environments.

Adjustment, Compatibility, and Practical Use

The NATE Chest Harness is adjustable to suit different body shapes, with two adjustment buckles providing precise fitting. A quick-release buckle allows the harness to be put on or removed easily, even when wearing gloves. Symmetrical loops on both sides enable direct attachment of a foot loop, removing the need to stow it away. While designed to be used together with the NATE foot loop for optimal performance, the chest harness can also be used independently if required. The harness weighs approximately 135 g and fits waist sizes from 85 cm to 130 cm.
