The Courant Squir 11.5mm Climbing Rope is a low-stretch arborist rope developed specifically for SRT climbing and use as an access line. This Pink Dragon version combines a highly visible colourway with a 32-strand construction designed to provide stability, flexibility and durability during repeated ascents and descents.

Low stretch for efficient ascending

With 2% elongation measured between 50 and 150kg, the Squir is designed to minimise bounce when ascending the tree. Its low-stretch construction makes it particularly suited to SRT and access applications where stability and efficient upward movement are important.

Durable 32-strand construction

The 11.5mm rope is manufactured from polyamide and polyester, with a 43% sheath and 57% core construction. Its re-developed 32-strand sheath combines durability with flexibility and helps protect the rope against wear caused by sharp-toothed cam ascenders. The rope is heat treated during manufacture for greater stability and is designed to retain its round profile during descent.

EN 1891 Type A certified

The Squir is certified to EN 1891:1998 Type A. It has a breaking strength of 3400 daN, a weight of 91 g/m, sheath slippage of 0.2%, knotability of 0.74 and water shrinkage of 1.5%.

Supplied without a splice

Due to the rope's low-stretch construction, the Squir cannot be supplied with an eye splice or stitched eye. This version is therefore supplied without a splice.
