Re-engineered with a more durable yet flexible sheath, this rope supports efficient ascents while maintaining consistent performance during long vertical movements in tree care environments. This version is supplied without a splice, in line with its intended use as a dedicated access and SRT line. Low stretch performance for efficient SRT access The Squir 2.0 features very low stretch, with less than 2 percent elongation, helping to minimise bounce during ascent. This characteristic supports efficient progress on access lines and improves control when working at height. The reduced elongation makes the rope particularly well suited to SRT systems where precision and energy efficiency are essential throughout repeated climbs. Durable construction with stable handling Built with a 32-strand construction and a redeveloped sheath, the rope balances durability with flexibility. The sheath is designed to resist wear from sharp-toothed cam ascenders, supporting long-term use in demanding conditions. Heat treatment during manufacturing improves overall stability, while the rope retains its round profile during descent, contributing to predictable handling through climbing devices. Purpose-built for access line applications The Squir 2.0 is finished in high-visibility red to support easy identification during setup and storage. Due to its low stretch construction, it is not suitable for eye splices or stitched terminations, reinforcing its role as a dedicated access and SRT line rather than a traditional climbing rope. Its design ensures consistent performance over extended use where durability and control are required.
