The ART SnakeTail is a versatile connecting device designed for use between harness and ascenders or other rope control devices. Its adaptable construction allows it to be used as an anchor, redirect, work positioning connection or for a wide range of additional arborist applications.

Adjustable length for flexible positioning

The SnakeTail is adjustable in length, enabling precise positioning according to the task at hand. This flexibility supports efficient setup whether used as a direct connection, short anchor or redirect within a climbing system.

Detachable grooved ring for modular use

Thanks to its detachable grooved ring, the SnakeTail allows variable connections and combinations, including integration with the ART RopeZipper. This modular capability expands its functionality across different rope control and positioning configurations.

Durable construction with high strength

The device is constructed from parallel sewn 8 mm kernmantle rope featuring a 50/50 Dyneema and polyester core blend. This design provides great abrasion resistance through a wide contact surface while maintaining high strength. The static load capacity of the segment seams is up to 4 kN (working load), and the minimum breaking strength is 23 kN.
