ART SnakeAnchor

The ART SnakeAnchor is a multifunctional anchoring device with TunnelRing, designed as a mobile anchor and connecting device with stepwise adjustable length. Manufactured from parallel sewn 8 mm double strand polyester rope, it offers a wide contact surface for improved abrasion resistance and reliable load distribution.

Stepwise adjustable length with shock-absorbing seams

The SnakeAnchor features segment seams that allow gradual length adjustment. Adjustment intervals are approximately 7 cm on the 2.5 m version and approximately 9 cm on the 5 m version. The segment seams have a static working load capacity of up to 4 kN and provide shock-absorbing qualities when a force of 5 kN or higher is applied.

Versatile anchoring above or below load

Certified according to EN 795 B, the SnakeAnchor can be used as an anchor above or below the load. In choking mode, the position can be secured using non-locking carabiners. It can also function as an adjustable friction saver when combined with carabiners or pulleys, offering flexible setup options in tree climbing applications.

Durable TunnelRing construction

The TunnelRings are made from aluminium machined in the solid and are designed according to the ART TubeRing principle. This enhances safety and tensile load by distributing forces evenly across the ring and protecting the spliced eye. The SnakeAnchor has been tested to 18 kN for 3 minutes, with a breaking load of 20 kN and a service life of 5 years.
