Yale XTC Calamine 11.7mm - 5m Climbing Rope - 1 Splice

Yale XTC Calamine 11.7mm 5m Climbing Rope – Pink / Purple – 1 Splice

The Yale XTC Calamine 11.7mm 5m Climbing Rope is a professional arborist climbing line developed for reliable performance with both mechanical ascent and descent devices and traditional climbing techniques. Manufactured from premium-grade polyester in a 24-strand construction, XTC-24 represents a significant advancement in tree climbing rope technology. Supplied in a compact 5 m length, this version is well suited to specific climbing setups, short system extensions, and specialist applications where full rope lengths are not required.

Balanced diameter and compact handling

The 11.7 mm diameter provides an effective balance between the reduced weight of thinner lines and the familiar feel of thicker ropes. This diameter supports confident grip and predictable device interaction across a wide range of arborist hardware. In a 5 m configuration, the rope remains easy to handle, store, and transport while retaining the same handling characteristics as longer XTC Calamine ropes.

Durable 24-strand polyester construction

Constructed entirely from polyester fibres, the 24-strand design delivers excellent abrasion resistance and long-term dimensional stability. Polyester construction helps prevent swelling and maintains consistent rope diameter over time. The rope has a controlled elongation of 1.8 percent at 245 kg, providing a stable and supportive feel during climbing without excessive stiffness. The material has a melting point of 232 °C, supporting durability in demanding working environments.

High visibility and certified performance

The distinctive pink and purple colour pattern offers high visibility in the canopy, helping climbers manage rope paths during complex tree work. This rope is supplied with a professionally finished UK spliced eye, providing a compact and clean termination that integrates smoothly with common arborist systems. It is CE certified to BS EN 1891:1998 Type B, confirming its suitability for arborist climbing applications requiring controlled elongation and dependable strength.
