Essential Chainsaw Maintenance Regular servicing helps protect a chainsaw engine from dirt, contamination and unnecessary wear. The STIHL Service Kit 16 brings together three important maintenance components in one convenient package, making it easier to carry out routine servicing and keep the chainsaw operating reliably. STIHL HD2 Air Filter The included HD2 air filter is designed for use across a wide range of operating conditions. Its fine-pored filter material provides a high level of filtration, helping prevent abrasive dust and fine dirt particles from entering the engine. Replacing the air filter at the recommended intervals helps maintain engine performance, fuel efficiency and reliable starting, particularly when working in dusty forestry and arborist environments. Spark Plug and Fuel Filter The replacement spark plug supports reliable ignition and clean combustion, helping the engine start and run consistently. Regular spark plug replacement is an important part of maintaining dependable chainsaw performance. The fuel filter prevents unwanted particles and contaminants from reaching the engine through the fuel system. Replacing it as part of routine maintenance helps maintain a clean fuel supply and protects internal engine components. Convenient Servicing The air filter and spark plug can be replaced using the combination wrench supplied with the STIHL chainsaw.
