The Stein Sentinel Rail Type C Chainsaw Trousers are designed to meet the combined demands of professional chainsaw use and rail-compliant high visibility work. Built using approved RIS-3279-TOM orange fabrics, these trousers are intended for arborists and rail workers who require all-round chainsaw protection alongside certified visibility in high-risk environments. The design focuses on durability, flexibility, and comfort for long shifts in challenging conditions. 

Certified all-round chainsaw and rail visibility protection

These trousers provide Design C all-round chainsaw protection, offering coverage to both the front and rear of the legs. They are rated to Class 1 with protection up to 20 m/s and certified to EN ISO 11393-2. In addition, the garment meets RIS-3279-TOM for rail use and EN ISO 20471 high visibility requirements, supporting safe working practices in rail corridors and other high-risk environments where visibility is critical.

Flexible construction with reinforced wear areas

An abrasion resistant rip-stop multi-stretch base fabric is used to provide flexibility in key movement zones. The crotch area is fully constructed from this material and reinforced stitched to maintain strength during stretching and dynamic movement. A roomy tailored leg supports airflow, while the greave and rear calf areas use a heavy duty durable polyester to improve resistance when working in dense vegetation. Pre-formed knees enhance comfort and mobility during kneeling, climbing, and ground work.

Visibility, comfort, and practical storage

Both legs are fitted with 75 mm X25 stretchable patterned reflective stripes that conform to EN ISO 20471 standards, supporting clear visibility in low-light and high-traffic environments. Lightweight European technical blocking filaments are integrated to maintain comfort during extended wear. Practical storage includes two downward-closing side pockets, a large press-stud pocket on the left leg, and a zipped rear pocket. A button fastening waist with brace fittings supports a secure fit, while an elasticated boot lace fastener at the hem helps reduce dirt ingress. The trousers weigh 1535 g based on a size M.
