The Petzl Grillon Adjustable Lanyard is designed to create effective work positioning systems when used alongside a fall arrest system. Developed for professional work at height, it allows precise and easy length adjustment to support stable, comfortable positioning at the work station. Its adaptable configuration makes it suitable for a wide range of positioning scenarios commonly encountered in arboriculture and rope access work.

Precise adjustment for comfortable positioning

The Grillon features a fine adjustment system that allows the lanyard length to be adjusted accurately to suit the working position. This precision supports stable posture and reduces unnecessary strain when positioned for extended periods. Adjustment is intuitive and controlled, allowing users to focus on the task rather than repeatedly repositioning their system.

Flexible single and double mode use

The lanyard can be configured in double mode or single mode depending on the work situation. In double mode, it is attached to the harness side attachment points, which helps distribute load evenly across the belt when working with weight on the feet. Length is adjusted by pressing on the pivoting cam. In single mode, it connects to the ventral attachment point when the anchor is above the user, allowing load to be shared comfortably between the belt and leg loops. Length is adjusted using the handle while holding the free end of the lanyard.

Durable construction with rope protection

Sewn terminations on both ends are fitted with a plastic sheath that helps keep connectors correctly positioned while protecting the rope from abrasion. A removable protective sheath runs along the rope to reduce wear from abrasive contact and improve rope glide during adjustment. When used in single mode, this sheath can be removed to bring the user closer to the anchor point. The lanyard is manufactured using nylon, polyester, and aluminium components and is certified to ANSI Z359.3, CSA Z259.11, CE EN 358, CE EN 12841 type C, EAC, UKCA, and GB 24543 / WQX standards.
