Petzl Extended Dual Chinstrap

Petzl Extended Dual Chinstrap

The Petzl Extended Dual Chinstrap is a replacement and upgrade component designed for use with Petzl VERTEX and STRATO helmets. It allows professionals to adapt helmet retention to suit different working environments, supporting both work at height and ground-based tasks. By offering adjustable chinstrap strength, it helps balance helmet security with user safety across a wide range of operational scenarios.

Adjustable chinstrap strength for varied work environments

This chinstrap features a dual-position clip that allows the user to modify chinstrap strength depending on the task. A high-strength setting supports secure helmet retention during work at height, helping limit the risk of helmet loss in the event of a fall. A low-strength setting is intended for ground-based work, helping reduce the risk of strangulation if the helmet becomes snagged. This adaptability supports safer helmet use across changing site conditions.

Compatibility with Petzl helmet systems

The Extended Dual Chinstrap is compatible with Petzl VERTEX and STRATO helmets manufactured from 2019 onwards. It is designed to allow worn or damaged chinstraps to be replaced easily, extending the service life of the helmet. The longer strap length supports different usage situations and user preferences, making it suitable for a broad range of professional applications.

Comfort, fit, and durable construction

Equipped with a lateral separator, the chinstrap allows precise adjustment of strap length to achieve a secure and comfortable fit. The construction uses nylon, polycarbonate, and high-strength polyester materials, supporting durability during regular professional use. With a weight of 34 g, it adds minimal bulk to the helmet while maintaining reliable performance throughout extended working periods.
