A patented factory splice at one end improves rope glide through friction savers, pulleys, and branches, helping reduce resistance during ascent and repositioning. The compact splice is designed to pass through the friction chain of ZIGZAG and ZIGZAG PLUS mechanical Prusiks, supporting smooth device interaction. This design helps streamline common climbing setups while maintaining reliable performance throughout the working day.

The 12.5 mm diameter delivers excellent grip and a solid feel in the hand, which many arborists prefer for control during work positioning and movement. With a weight of 115 g per metre, the rope balances durability with manageability on longer climbs. Static elongation of 3.1 percent supports stable positioning under load, helping translate effort directly into movement rather than rope stretch.

The rope features a 100 percent polyester double weave construction with a 24 carrier build and a 62 percent sheath. Petzl’s EverFlex technology helps the rope maintain flexibility over time and across varied conditions such as water, dust, and mud, supporting consistent device performance. The Control rope delivers a strength of 30 kN, with 19 kN retained at the splice and 15 kN when tied with a figure-eight knot.
