The gate mechanism is designed to open and close smoothly without locking up, while the snaphook's design helps eliminate potential front-to-back gate interference. A snag-free keylock gate provides clean connection and removal, making the snaphook particularly well suited as a connector termination for adjustable work positioning lanyards and fliplines.

Hot-forged aluminium construction

Manufactured from hot-forged aluminium, the snaphook combines a low weight of 136 g (4.8 oz) with a major axis minimum breaking strength of 30 kN. The major axis MBS with the gate open is 15 kN, while the minor axis MBS is 7 kN. Each snaphook is individually serialised, allowing it to be used with track and traceability applications such as Scannable.
