The Notch Rope Runner Vertec Evo is a next-generation mechanical climbing and work positioning device, developed in collaboration with Kevin Bingham. Building on the success of the Rope Runner Pro, it delivers improved adjustability, smooth handling and refined performance for professional arborists working in both SRS and MRS systems.

Tool-Free Adjustment and Precise Control

The Vertec Evo features on-the-fly, tool-free friction adjustment with seven settings, allowing users to fine-tune performance to suit rope type and climbing style. This ensures consistent control when ascending, descending or positioning in the canopy.

Efficient Climbing Across Systems

Designed for strong performance in stationary rope systems and easy setup for moving rope systems, the Vertec Evo supports flexible climbing techniques without requiring additional components. Its smooth modulation improves handling across a wide range of rope and carabiner configurations.

Midline Attachment and Integrated Design

The device is midline attachable without the need for slic pins, allowing quick installation without detaching from the harness. An integrated tending point supports connection to a chest harness and is compatible with systems such as the Notch Magneato.

Durable Construction with Traceability

Constructed from aluminium alloy and stainless steel, the Vertec Evo is built for durability in demanding environments. It is scannable for tracking and inspection, supporting equipment management for professional users.
