The Notch Glide Rope Grab is a cam-based work positioning lanyard adjuster designed for both horizontal and vertical use. Offering intuitive one-handed operation with responsive rope payout and take-up, it allows arborists to make smooth positioning adjustments while working in the canopy. The Glide is suitable for ropes from 11 mm to 13 mm in diameter and can also be used with wire-core lanyards.

Smooth and responsive adjustment

The Glide features a smooth, non-aggressive clutch designed to minimise rope damage while providing controlled adjustment. It can be adjusted while under load and offers virtually no sit-back during use, helping the climber maintain their chosen work position. An integrated swivel eye helps prevent the lanyard from twisting as the user moves and repositions around the tree.

Adjustable cam for different lanyard setups

A size-specific removable cam provides three friction settings, allowing rope tension to be optimised for different setups. This enables the Glide to accommodate climbing ropes between 11 mm and 13 mm as well as wire-core lanyards without requiring additional cams. The ergonomic design supports simple one-handed adjustment for efficient everyday work positioning.

Each Notch Glide Rope Grab is individually serialised for identification and equipment management. The device meets ASTM F887 Standard and is CE certified to Technical Specification No. 64055/2022. Please note that the CE certification covers use with climbing rope only and does not cover use with wire-core rope.
