The ISC APEX Rope Wrench builds on the original ISC Rope Wrench, first introduced in 2013 and widely adopted for Stationary Rope Technique (SRT) climbing. The APEX enhances functionality and convenience while maintaining the high build quality associated with ISC equipment.

Adjustable cam with multiple friction settings

The APEX features an adjustable spring-loaded cam, allowing users to select from clearly identifiable friction settings according to rope type and diameter. Adjustment takes seconds and requires no tools. Simply depress the spring-loaded button, open the side plate, rotate the cam to the desired setting, and close the device. The design eliminates loose or drop-able parts.

Mid-line attachment with secure closure

A push-button swing-open side frame enables quick mid-line attachment, even when wearing gloves. The double-lock closure system provides added security, with an audible click confirming proper closure during installation.

Compatible and versatile configuration

The APEX allows tether changes without altering the selected friction setting. It is compatible with all ISC tethers and supports rope diameters from 11–13 mm (7/16″–1/2″) across four friction settings. Please note, this device is not for primary life support.
