The FTC Wooden Cambium / Friction Saver Retrieval Balls are designed to support efficient and controlled retrieval of cambium savers and anchors from the ground. Used in conjunction with a rope, the retrieval ball locks into the anchor’s retrieval point to help bring both the anchor and rope back down after use. Manufactured for professional tree care applications, the system focuses on reliable engagement, compatibility with common cambium saver designs, and straightforward handling during retrieval.

Reliable retrieval using integrated Dyneema line

Each retrieval ball is supplied with a Dyneema line that allows it to be tied securely to the end of a rope. During retrieval, the ball engages with the anchor’s retrieval section and locks into position, enabling the rope and cambium saver to be pulled back to the ground. The Dyneema line has a diameter of 1.6 mm and a minimum breaking strength of 220 daN, supporting consistent handling during repeated use.

Two diameter options for broad compatibility

The retrieval balls are available in two diameters to suit different cambium saver designs. The 22 mm version is suitable for retrieving the FTC Choker Joker and many other cambium savers from brands such as Petzl, Camp, and FTC, excluding models that use rings. The larger 30 mm version is designed to retrieve cambium savers with rings and can be used whether the rope is spliced or unspliced, offering broader system compatibility.
