The FTC Joker Light Cambium / Friction Saver - 110cm is a compact and versatile anchoring solution designed for professional tree care. Developed to adapt to a wide range of climbing scenarios, it can be used for anchoring or redirections in both single rope and doubled rope techniques. Part of the lighter and more visible Joker Light range, this version is intended for efficient canopy use while maintaining full retrievability and system flexibility.

Compact adjustable anchor for canopy work

The Joker Light is easy to adjust in length thanks to integrated loops positioned every 10 cm, allowing precise shortening to suit the working position. At 110 cm, this version is particularly practical for canopy anchoring and redirects where a shorter, more compact setup is preferred. The two-ring configuration supports smooth rope movement and flexible anchor orientation during climbing and repositioning.

Flexible configurations and system combinations

This cambium saver can be used as a simple anchor at full length or shortened using the sewn loops. It can also be combined with another Joker Light or a Choker Joker Light using a girth hitch to extend the anchoring system on larger trunks, while keeping the option to retrieve the setup from the ground. It is also suitable for use as a redirect, whether retrievable or fixed, supporting a wide range of climbing strategies during the workday.

Construction, ratings, and certified use

The strap is manufactured from 100 percent polyester webbing with a width of 19 mm, balancing durability with lightweight handling. Hollow stainless steel rings are used to provide a very resistant yet lightweight connection point, with a stated ring distortion strength of 30 kN. Technical ratings include strap simple traction of 2,600 daN, a combined rating of 2,475 daN when used with a girth hitch, and loop seam strength of 665 daN. The Joker Light is certified to EN 795 B and TS 16415:2012 standards and is approved for use by two users. The 110 cm two-ring version has a listed weight of 210 g and is supplied with a wood retrieval ball with a diameter of 30 mm.
