Building on the original Argiope design, the Evo version continues to use a very slim splice that was one of the first of its kind to pass smoothly through mechanical devices. This construction supports efficient daily climbing work while maintaining long-term stability and predictable performance.

Stable polyester construction with abrasion resistance

The Argiope Evo is constructed from 100 percent polyester, a material choice that ensures a constant rope diameter over time with no swelling. The thick cover is designed to provide strong resistance to abrasion, supporting an extended service life in demanding tree care environments. The rope has a 16-strand construction and is stated to have virtually no cover-to-core slippage, with a measured value of 0.1 percent, allowing either end to be spliced if required.

Balanced elongation for controlled climbing

With an elongation of 2.8 percent, the Argiope Evo offers a balance between static efficiency and dynamic comfort during ascent and movement. This level of elongation supports controlled positioning without creating a rigid feel under load. The rope is suitable for both single rope and doubled rope techniques, allowing arborists to move between climbing systems while maintaining consistent rope behaviour.

The Argiope Evo is supplied with one slim factory splice that is thin and flexible enough to pass through commonly used mechanical devices such as the ZigZag, SpiderJack, and Freexion. The rope has a diameter of 11.7 mm, a weight of 103 g per metre, and a minimum breaking strength of 28.9 kN. It is certified to CE EN 1891:1998 Type A and is available in the Blue colourway, featuring a moiré blend of blue and white.
