Designed to restore original performance and maintain consistent climbing behaviour, these replacement gaffs allow worn components to be exchanged without replacing the complete spur system. Their straightforward design supports continued professional use where dependable penetration and stability on the stem are required. Purpose-built replacements for Talon spurs These replacement gaffs are manufactured to match the Talon spur system, ensuring compatibility and correct fit when installed. By replacing worn spikes, users can maintain consistent climbing characteristics and preserve the intended ergonomics of the Talon design. This helps extend the service life of the spur set while keeping performance aligned with the original configuration. Steel construction for durability and consistency The gaffs are constructed from steel, providing the strength and durability required for repeated use in demanding tree work environments. Steel construction supports reliable performance over time and helps maintain predictable behaviour during spur climbing. This material choice reflects the need for robustness in components that are subject to regular contact with timber. Two size options for application preference The Edelrid Talon Replacement Gaffs are available in two sizes, allowing users to select the option that best suits their working preference and climbing requirements. The shorter option measures 43 mm, while the longer option measures 70 mm. Offering two sizes provides flexibility for different climbing styles and stem conditions while retaining compatibility with the Talon spur system.
