The oval profile features symmetrical rope baskets that enable connected components to self-centre when weighted. This helps maintain stable loading characteristics and reduces sudden shifts within the system. The round basket shape also avoids the abrupt clicking often associated with D-shaped connectors, contributing to smoother and more predictable performance in both tree care and rope access applications.

Versatile use across rope access and rescue systems

Oval connectors are widely used where multiple connectors, slings, ropes, or pulleys must share a single connection point. The Ultra O sits comfortably either way round, so rotation within systems is not required. Secure Durolock gate with snag free connections

The clean nose gate uses DMM’s patented Taperlock closing mechanism, employing a flared profile to increase gate push-in and cross gate strength while maintaining snag free connections with ropes, slings, and devices. The Durolock auto-locking gate requires four distinct operations to open, with force needing to be maintained throughout. If released, the gate returns to a safe locked position. With 25 kN major axis strength, 12 kN minor axis strength, and 7 kN gate open strength, the Ultra O Durolock delivers dependable performance in demanding working environments.
