The DMM TLC Tool Strop / Standard Loop is a versatile lanyard system designed for dropped object prevention when working with tools weighing up to 2 kg. Developed to balance security, flexibility, and ease of use, it is well suited to arboriculture, rope access, rescue, and route setting environments. The compact design helps keep tools close at hand while still allowing the freedom of movement required for efficient working at height.

Stretch webbing for controlled reach and tidy storage

The TLC uses stretch webbing that naturally retracts to keep the lanyard short and neat when not under load. This helps reduce snagging and excess slack around the harness or work area. When required, the webbing extends smoothly to allow sustained reaches, supporting practical tool use without the restriction of a fixed length lanyard.

Swivel connectors for correct orientation and reduced twisting

Integrated XSRE swivel carabiners help reduce lanyard twisting during movement, maintaining correct system orientation throughout use. This improves handling and helps prevent tangling when tools are repeatedly repositioned. The 16 mm yoke can accommodate multiple 4 mm cords, allowing grouping of tools or connection to chest harnesses for towing ascent systems.

Durable, replaceable components for extended service life

The TLC is built from high quality, durable components designed for regular professional use. Removable yoke spacers and spare webbing allow damaged parts to be replaced rather than the entire strop, supporting longer service life. A vibration proof gate locking thimble helps maintain secure connections during use, while optional stowing rings can be added to clip tools in closer when required, otherwise a tool bag or sheath should be used.
