I Beam construction allows the Shadow to achieve an excellent strength to weight ratio by removing material from non load bearing areas. A 17 mm gate opening allows practical clipping, while the keylock nose design eliminates snagging on ropes, slings, or bolts. The Shadow offers a major axis strength of 24 kN, with 7 kN on the minor axis and 9 kN with the gate open, and conforms to EN 362:2004 B, EN 12275:2013 B, and UIAA 121 standards.
