The Offset D shape refines the classic D design by extending the top bar, increasing internal space while directing loads toward the spine of the carabiner. This supports loading along the strongest axis and improves compatibility with thicker ropes and slings. The result is predictable behaviour under load with improved ergonomics in a compact form.

Lightweight construction with glove friendly handling

I Beam construction allows the Shadow to achieve an excellent strength to weight ratio by removing material from non load bearing areas. Measuring 62 x 102 mm and weighing 58 g, it remains light enough to carry in quantity without compromise. Despite the low weight, the size is sufficient for confident use when wearing gloves, making it suitable for winter climbing and demanding conditions.

The 3 Way Locksafe gate requires three distinct actions to open, helping reduce the risk of accidental opening during use. A 17 mm gate opening allows practical clipping, while the keylock nose design eliminates snagging on ropes, slings, or bolts. The Shadow offers a major axis strength of 24 kN, with 7 kN on the minor axis and 9 kN with the gate open, and conforms to EN 362:2004 B, EN 12275:2013 B, and UIAA 121 standards.
