Directional control for correct load alignment

The Ceros is engineered to help keep devices and connectors correctly oriented under load. A removable, tamper-resistant captive bar holds the carabiner securely on a harness or lanyard, reducing the risk of cross-loading. In addition, the integrated horn at the top of the spine helps prevent devices from migrating onto the spine, supporting predictable alignment during use with belay devices, rope controllers, and lanyards.

Secure locking and smooth rope interaction

The Locksafe gate uses an auto-locking mechanism that requires three distinct actions to open, helping prevent accidental gate opening during use. DMM’s patented Taperlock nose design increases gate push-in strength and cross-gate resistance while also creating a smooth, snag-free connection point for ropes, slings, and devices. A full section top bar provides consistent rope handling and reduces rope bending compared to I-beam surfaces, supporting improved rope longevity.

Hot forged using I-beam construction, the Ceros balances reduced weight with high strength and durability. Measuring 74 x 121 mm and weighing 93 g, it offers a strong yet manageable connector for daily professional use. The carabiner provides a 25 kN major axis strength, with 7 kN ratings on the minor axis and gate open. It is certified to EN 362:2004 T and EN 12275:2013 B, H, and T, supporting compliant use in climbing and work positioning systems.
