The DMM AmericanO Locksafe 3 Way Carabiner is a large true oval connector designed to deliver predictable loading and increased internal volume for professional climbing, rigging, and work positioning systems. Positioned above the Ultra O in size, it retains the stable loading characteristics expected from an oval connector while offering more space for multiple attachments. This makes it well suited to applications where gloves, larger components, or more complex connections are required.

The AmericanO uses a symmetrical true oval profile that allows connected components to self-centre naturally within the basket. This helps reduce uneven loading and supports consistent behaviour when used with pulleys, slings, or multiple connectors. Larger format for increased usability

With dimensions of 69 x 114 mm and a weight of 94 g, the AmericanO provides additional internal volume compared to smaller oval connectors. This larger size improves usability when working with gloves and allows more space for managing ropes and hardware. A 22 mm gate opening supports easier clipping of bulkier components without compromising control.

The 3 Way Locksafe gate requires three distinct actions to open, helping reduce the risk of accidental opening during professional use. The AmericanO offers a major axis strength of 25 kN, with 9 kN on the minor axis and 7 kN with the gate open. It conforms to EN 362:2004 B and EN 12275:2013 B standards and is DMM’s first true oval connector designed to meet ANSI requirements, making it suitable for industries where this standard is applied.
