The Courant Phoenix Pink Dragon 10mm Eye to Eye is a 70cm friction cord developed for tying a range of friction hitches and providing braking performance on arborist climbing ropes. This Pink Dragon version combines the proven Phoenix construction with a distinctive pink finish for professional climbing setups.

Designed for arborist friction hitches

The Phoenix is specifically developed for use as a friction cord on arborist climbing ropes. Its 10mm diameter and 70cm eye-to-eye configuration provide a practical setup for tying different hitch configurations, with stitched eyes at each end providing secure connection points.

Heat and wear-resistant aramid sheath

The sheath is manufactured using aramid fibres selected for their resistance to heat, wear and UV radiation. These properties are particularly important in a friction cord, where repeated movement against the climbing rope generates heat and places additional demands on the sheath.

Finished with moulded end protectors

The stitched eye terminations are finished with moulded polymer end protectors rather than traditional heat shrink tubing. This provides a clean and durable finish around the termination while retaining the practical eye-to-eye configuration of the Phoenix friction cord.
