The Courant Phoenix Blue 8mm Eye to Eye is a 70cm friction cord developed specifically for creating self-locking friction hitches. Combining a flexible construction with an aramid/polyester blend sheath, it is designed to provide lasting grip, abrasion resistance and resistance to heat for professional arborist climbing applications.

Developed for self-locking friction hitches

The Phoenix has been designed specifically for forming self-locking knots. Its 8mm diameter and 70cm eye-to-eye configuration provide a compact friction cord suitable for arborist climbing systems where a sewn eye-to-eye hitch cord is required.

Aramid and polyester blend sheath

An aramid/polyester blend sheath provides a combination of grip, abrasion resistance and resistance to heat. The flexible construction supports effective handling when tying and adjusting friction hitches while providing the durability required for regular professional use.

Compact sewn terminations

The Phoenix features compact sewn terminations designed to allow more compact self-locking knots. The termination design also helps prevent the connecting carabiner from slipping into the sewn loop, supporting a clean and controlled climbing setup.
