Designed to perform reliably across multiple climbing systems, it delivers controlled handling with long-term flexibility, making it well suited to arborists who alternate between ascent, positioning, and movement within the canopy. This version is supplied with no splice, allowing full flexibility when configuring rope systems and terminations. Balanced construction for modern climbing systems The Kalimba features a 24-strand construction that creates a consistently round rope with a balanced and confidence-inspiring grip. This structure supports smooth interaction with a wide range of commonly used descenders and climbing devices, helping maintain predictable control during ascent, descent, and work positioning. Its design is well suited to everyday professional use where dependable handling is essential. X-Braid core for efficiency and durability At the core of the rope is Courant’s X-Braid construction, engineered to provide long-lasting flexibility while maintaining low elongation under load. This balance helps improve climbing efficiency by reducing unwanted movement, particularly during ascent. The core and sheath work together to support consistent rope behaviour over time, even with repeated use in demanding environments. Versatile performance across climbing techniques With an 11.9 mm diameter, the Kalimba offers a practical balance between grip and compatibility with climbing devices. It performs effectively in both SRT and DRS climbing systems, providing reliable control across different working styles. The blue and orange Bubblegum colourway improves visibility in the tree, supporting efficient rope management and identification during use.
