The ART Lockjack 2 with Swivel is a manageable, efficient and easily operable device for ascent and descent in tree climbing. Designed for use on the running double rope, it delivers a safe, dynamic and energy-saving climbing experience for both beginners and experienced climbers.

Efficient ascent and controlled descent on DdRT

The Lockjack 2 is a patented multifunctional ascent and repelling device approved for descent with two persons. It is certified according to EN 358 and designed for use with textile ropes compliant with EN 1891 from Ø 11–13 mm. The device can be installed directly onto the climbing line without any threading, allowing quick and straightforward setup.

Integrated swivel for improved comfort

Equipped with an integrated swivel, the Lockjack 2 compensates for twists in both rope and body during climbing. This improves overall climbing comfort and helps maintain optimal positioning while moving within the canopy.

Durable machined aluminium construction

The body and components are made of aluminium machined in the solid for strength and durability. All worn parts are replaceable, supporting long-term use. The device has been tested with 15 kN for 3 minutes, features a breaking strength of 23 kN and offers a service life of 7 years. Two clutches are included in delivery: 11/12 mm and 12/13 mm. Weight is approximately 310 g.

Recommended carabiners for the Lockjack include Petzl OK Triact, OK Ball Lock and Am'D Ball Lock. When using other carabiners, ensure that the ball of the release lever cannot pass through the karabiner, as this may result in uncontrolled descent or fall risk.
