The Petzl Caritool – Large is a harness-mounted tool holder designed to help arborists and climbers organise, carry, and access tools efficiently while working at height. Developed for ease of use, it allows tools to be selected and returned with one hand, supporting smooth workflow during climbing, positioning, and ground-based tasks where frequent tool changes are required.

One-handed tool access and organisation

The Caritool Large is shaped to allow simple one-handed clipping and unclipping of tools, reducing interruption during work. Its upper section is designed to help group and organise multiple items, making it easier to manage frequently used equipment. A dedicated hole at the top allows attachment of tool tethers, supporting dropped-object prevention systems when required.

Secure attachment to climbing harnesses

This tool holder slips directly through harness straps and remains securely positioned thanks to an integrated stabilising clip. Once fitted, it stays in place during movement, helping maintain consistent access to tools throughout the climb. The gate includes an integrated plastic cover that helps limit accidental snagging, supporting safer handling around ropes, lanyards, and other equipment.

High load capacity for larger tools

Designed as the larger of the two Caritool sizes, this version offers a higher load capacity for carrying heavier or multiple tools. With a maximum recommended load of 15 kg and a weight of 75 g, it provides a practical balance between strength and low added weight. The Caritool is intended for equipment organisation only and is not classed as PPE.
