The Teufelberger hipSTAR Glide Lanyard is Teufelberger’s advanced work positioning system, developed as the successor to the widely trusted hipSTAR Flex. Designed to meet modern arborist requirements, it delivers refined performance, expanded certification and a fully integrated Teufelberger component build that supports confident, controlled movement in demanding tree care environments.

Refined System Built for Arborist Work

hipSTAR Glide introduces a fully Teufelberger-based configuration, replacing the previous Pinto pulley with the glideHITCH pulley and karaT carabiner. This update creates a cohesive system designed to work seamlessly under load. Intended specifically for work positioning, the lanyard supports smooth adjustment and stable positioning throughout climbing operations.

Extended Certification Coverage

This version of the hipSTAR Glide carries an expanded certification profile for both single-user and two-person applications, ensuring compliance with rigorous safety standards globally. It is certified to EN 358:2018 and EN 795B:2012 for work positioning, as well as ANSI Z133-2017. For two-person use, it meets AS/NZS 5532:2013 and CEN/TS 16415:2017. In addition, this version is certified to AS 1891.5:2020, supporting compliance in regions requiring this standard.

Modular and Fully Serviceable Design

Designed with long-term use in mind, the hipSTAR Glide features fully replaceable components to support maintenance and personal configuration. An 8 mm Sirius polyester cord with prusikLOOP thimble provides an additional mounting option, while interchangeable elements such as the Ocean Polyester e2e, glideHITCH pulley and karaT carabiner allow the system to evolve alongside the climber’s needs.
