The Teufelberger hipSTAR Glide Lanyard represents the next evolution of Teufelberger’s well-known work positioning system, formerly known as the hipSTAR Flex. Building on years of real-world use by arborists worldwide, hipSTAR Glide introduces refined performance, updated certification and a fully Teufelberger-built component system designed to support efficient and confident movement in the tree.

Upgraded Performance with Proven Design

hipSTAR Glide replaces the previous Pinto pulley with Teufelberger’s own glideHITCH pulley and karaT carabiner, creating a fully integrated system built from matched components. This update enhances consistency and reliability while maintaining the smooth handling that made the original hipSTAR Flex a benchmark in arborist lanyards. Designed specifically for work positioning, the system supports precise movement and controlled adjustment during climbing tasks.

Certified for Professional Work Positioning

The hipSTAR Glide is certified for single-person and two-person applications across multiple international standards. It meets EN 358:2018 and EN 795B:2012 for work positioning, as well as ANSI Z133-2017. For two-person load scenarios, it is certified to AS/NZS 5532:2013 and CEN/TS 16415:2017. These certifications reflect its suitability for a wide range of professional tree care applications.

Modular System with Replaceable Components

Continuing the tradition of interchangeability, all major components of the hipSTAR Glide remain replaceable. The system includes an 8 mm Sirius polyester cord with prusikLOOP thimble, providing an additional mounting point for expanded functionality. Exchangeable elements such as the Ocean Polyester e2e, prusikLOOP thimble, glideHITCH pulley and karaT carabiner allow arborists to maintain and adapt their system over time.
